How Long Has It Been?!

Bonjour...

Ahaks... this blog have been left to rot for quite a while now... I could've collected all the methane produced and use it to power all my electrical appliances... but hey... I'm a busy man!

Right... so... here's a little update of what I have been up to in the past 7 months...

I mentioned in my previous entry that I have moved into another house early this year (April)... so here's some pictures of it =).

Entire Room Content
These were the whole content of my room! All my belongings... Doesn't look much, but in a tiny room... you could get clustered =).

New Room (Brighton)
1st April 2009, I moved into this room in a property slap-bang in the middle of Brighton town centre! =)

So there you go... another move. Although I am paying a little bit more for this room... but it's all worth it! Money well spent, that's what I say. I mean I am still 'lodging' i.e. living with my landlord (owner of the house)... but it was just the 2 of us in a 4-storey house! Nice, ey... Plus I've got more room/space to spread my belongings around... LOL!

Well the move was a bit sad, because the previous family was really great and nice. But sometime, we have to be a bit selfish and think of one's comfort. So yeah, and apparently we (my friend, who helped me move, and I) celebrated my moving into Brighton. We went to Jamie Oliver's newly opened Italian restaurant... YES! We went to Jamie Oliver's restaurant! Here in Brighton! Want proof? I can give you one!

Jamie Oliver Restaurant Receipt
Yeap, that's the receipt for our dinner! Jangan jealous...

Well what else?! Owh yeah... I also went home (to Brunei) in the Summer... after 2 years that is! Ahaks! I went home for 10 weeks, and guess what... I was in for quite a surprise. Terrible....

Former Room (Brunei)
I came back to Brunei, thinking that I would be able to sleep in my old tiny little bedroom... have lazy days, waking up late from my bed watching some DVDs... and so on and so forth! But I was in for quite a disappointment! I, for some reason, longer have the ownership to that room. Sad... I was terribly sad! But hey, such is life...

And to look into the brighter side, I was given another room. A ted bit bigger than the old one... and it was refurbished to my liking whilst I was there! I mean, it wasn't like how I originally want it to be, but this is one of those cases that all the mistakes comes together to make a right one!

Current Room (Brunei)
I actually want to have a lot more red on those walls... but, for some reason those Indonesian builders never seems to understand my instructions... and was left with a bit more pink... but then again... after a while I began to appreciate it more... began to think that a few mistakes 'could' make a right! =)

Yeap, I am happy to get a new room. Plus those were new set of furniture too! And... I have an en-suite bathroom! How nice! All I need to get is, a new TV (to be wall mounted) and some home-theatre system perhaps... Well that is 'IF' I still have the ownership to the room when I get back in a few years time... and 'IF' the room doesn't get trashed...

Owh I forgot, allow me to correct myself. Actually I only spent about 8 weeks plus in Brunei. This is because I spent around about 2 weeks in Saudi with my mum and one of my brother, during the last 10 days of Ramadhan. The trip to Saudi was (as the american said) awesome! I mean should I be given another chance... yes, I would love to go back! Although there were a few things that I found to be a bit disappointing!

Unbelievable
YES! I was surprised and shocked that these american fast food chain, managed to break into Saudi's market! Not only that! They are present within the muslims' two holy cities... SHAME!!!
...
KFC?! McDonalds?! Starbucks?!
...
In Makkah & Medinah?!
...
SHAME!!!

But hey, that was just me... otherwise... I did had a wonderful time over there =).

Me in Masjid Al-Harram, Makkah
This picture was taken using the brother's mobile phone, whilst we were trying to circle the Ka'abah from the first floor.

Alright folks, that's it for now... until next time, cheerio and much love...

Easter Holiday?!

Bonjour dear readers,
(if there are any that is...)

Less than 1 month and 3 days ago I did the previous entry, i.e. about the house I moved into after being chucked out of the university accommodation. An entry that was long overdue, mind you, because I moved into the house in June 2008! The reason why I emphasised the entry being long overdue is just so that none of you are taken aback when I now have to announce that I have moved into another house about a couple of weeks ago. But all pictures of the move and the new place is still in the camera. This means that there will be an entry about the new place pretty soon, I promise =).

Right, before I forgot I better respond to the comments of the previous entry.
Bashi:
Yeah, the pictures are both due to the "Snap Frenzy/Addiction" caused by the new camera as well as there have been some requests to cut the words and replace them with more pictures =S.
InnoLad:
Congratulations, although I thought I made it easy enough for you to find because I've linked the messages to this page. About that house, it wasn't that big. The house is a semi-detached house, which in simple words mean the actual size of the house was half that building depicted as "Front of House"! How many people are in it? Well, I did mention as well as put their picture up i.e. "the people I lived with at the moment". Although Howard and John do not live permanently in the house i.e. they in effect live up in London but do come down and stay with us every other weekend. And finally the map, well I personally wouldn't call it a map dear... but thank you for the comment. The reason why I don't call it a map is because the arrows doesn't represent exactly where the rooms are. What I basically did using the arrows were to link the access to the room/space that is visible from the "Main Entrance" to the picture of the room/space. And also the picture cluster of the "Living Room" doesn't represent the panoramic view of the room.

Okay, back to the title of this entry. Well to be perfectly honest, I'm in my last of the 4 week Easter Holiday. How has it been? Well the first couple of weeks are uncomfortable and a bit wasted, although it was also kind of exhilarating too, simply due to the my moving into another house =). I've also spent most of my Easter holiday working at a friend's Hotel, so I do get knackered whenever I am home in the evening. Hence the stagnant blog!

With that, I have officially run out of things/ideas to say in this entry. So hangging or not, too abruptly stopped or not, I am ending this entry here!

Until next time (whenever next time might be...). Much love...
C.B.
